But 2009 and the days leading up to it have been amazing so far.
We have had a glorious few days of great weather - bright sun hiding behind huge mashmallow clouds, coupled with nice breezes that come your way every now and then. I thought we were in a monsoon when it'd rain day and night, but day after day we are getting beautiful weather. I never quite get when the monsoon is in or when it's over, are we off the hook yet or the best is yet to come? I'm really not sure. All I know is we have been out there enjoying every bit of the wonderful weather.
In 3 days, we have already been to the Marina Barrage twice. Once for the New Year's eve carnival, and it was so much fun that we went there again 2 days after. Jamie had a blast splashing around at the water playground with Grandma.

... and Katie showed off her sexy legs with her version of "Marilyn Monroe".

We love it there. I guess it is not yet so popular that it gets too crowded, and the vast space all around, the strong wind, the beautiful skyline, everything about it makes one feel really relaxed and nice.

We also went to the Palawan Beach at Sentosa, crossed the suspension bridge to the nearest point we can get to the equator and chilled out at the beach.

The clouds were gorgeous that day and we just had to take some pictures with them...

It was only later when we got home and looked at the photos on the PC that we realised - oopss, Jamie wasn't wearing anything underneath when Felix swung him up for the photos...
We couldn't stop laughing...
2008 had been a very fulfilling year. Katie came into our lives in May, started laughing in her 3rd month, flipping in her 4th month and sitting up by her 5th month. Jamie grew some molars, started jumping and walking backwards, and new words are popping out from him every single day.
Felix and I are more determined than ever to not just make our marriage work, but to make it a wonderful one. I have a lot to thank for what I have, my family, my friends, but I truly believe the best thing that happened to me is marrying the most patient and generous man, the father of my 2 beautiful kids.
One of my New Year resolutions is also, to take better care of myself. To make more time for myself. Time away from the kids, time to rejunevate my soul and time to grow as an individual. By loving myself, I will have enough love to love the people around me.
There's so much I want to do, and I'm excited to start my life every day!
Cheers, to the brand new year!

Hi, just want to comment on the really lovely photographs. Great angles, but most importantly, you have captured the mood (joy, fun, laughter) so well in the photos! BTW, your blog is very nice to read too!
Thanks so much! really appreciate you dropping by. :-)
You are most welcome. I enjoy finding out what other moms do and feel and think, so that I can also learn from them. Do keep up with your passion for gym! I, too, joined one last year and has been going once or twice a week. Yes, wait for the return of a better figure!
Which gym do you go to? Maybe we can be gym buddies.. hehe..
Hi Jayne, I go to Fitnessfirst at AMK Hub. It is closer to my workplace. Do you go there?
Hi Jayne,
Came across your site from Evelyn's Bottoms Up!
And I'd just want to drop by and say how I LOVE your Marina Barrage photos! Especially the first one at the top! I love those of the kids laughing away taken against the blue sky too! Beautiful!
